Unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon in writing, all tile is to be paid in full upon ordering. All jobs requiring labor are required to have a deposit with balance due when work is complete.
All cabinet, trim, sheetrock and wood work, which can affect the final dimensions, must be completed prior to final measurements and ordering of all tile.
Quotes from client’s measurements and/or prints are subject to adjustments when final measurements are taken.
Reconnection of any appliance, plumbing, etc. is the responsibility of the homeowner or builder unless otherwise noted in writing.
Natural Stone tiles are a product of nature and may contain inconsistencies and variations in color and pattern. Coastal Countertops & Tile is not responsible for these inconsistencies.
Since there may be shade variation in all fired ceramic and porcelain products, tiles may not match sample board exactly. There may be variation between lots.
No tile is considered “slip proof”. If slip resistance is a concern, please discuss with Design Coordinator.
All tiles are to be checked by homeowner before installation. If there is an issue with any of the tile color, size or design, it is the responsibility of the homeowner/customer to bring it to Coastal Countertops & Tile’s attention before installation.
Significant completion means that it is okay to return to normal use of the area, even though small touch ups may still need to be addressed. A reasonable amount (such as 10%) may be escrowed from the final balance until total completion. Return trips will not be scheduled until full balance is paid.
All customers must provide Coastal Countertops & Tile with tile, bullnose and other material amounts to be ordered. Coastal Countertops & Tile is not responsible for any overages or shortages unless Coastal Countertops & Tile is providing the installation of the order
There is a 40% restocking fee on all tile returned.
All materials supplied by Coastal Countertops & Tile remains the property of Coastal Countertops & Tile until the balance is paid in full. Failure to remit balance due upon completion of the job may result in the removal of the products; or legal action and/or filing of a lien against your property.
There may be additional shipping charges on special order items. Coastal Countertops & Tile works hard to have all the correct charges for shipping before the order is placed. In the event that shipping charges change, the customer will be notified and is responsible for the additional charges.
All changes to design need to have the proper change order filled out and signed before job can proceed.

Failure to provide a deposit may result in the delay of fabrication and the rescheduling of installation. Fabrication will not begin until all cutting information has been obtained (including sinks, faucets, cook tops, etc.)

Any changes made after templating or filed measuring may not only change the price, but also cause an extended delay in fabrication and installation. All changes MUST be in writing. Quotes from client’s measurements and/or prints are subject to adjustments when final measurements are taken and templates are created. The company will not be responsible for any installed material that appears uneven due to an unlevel wall or cabinet; this includes differences in overhangs along the installed countertops.
Any changes to the layout of the kitchen, after a final template, such as changes to cabinets or sizes, must be brought to the attention of the company seven (7) days before fabrication. A change order and possibly an additional final template must be completed and signed before fabrication to begin. Any changes may result in extended delay in fabrication and installation. Total price may be subject to adjustments upon any change order. The company will not be responsible for any mis-cut material, additional cutting or additional installation time caused by any changes in measurement made by the customer.
Returns to a jobsite (or additional events occurring at the time of installation not previously quoted) for drilling holes, mounting dishwasher, cooktop cutout, lack of accessibility to jobsite and/or because of any foreseeable lack of preparedness or due to unforeseeable hidden damage will be an additional charge, including but not limited to labor and materials. We cannot guarantee an immediate return to a jobsite due to our work schedule.

Mirrors (to be) mounted above backsplashes or countertops are the responsibility of the homeowner or builder existing mirrors are to be removed before installation of marble/granite. Mirrors are only to be (re)installed after marble/granite installation is complete. If mirrors are not removed, we will not be responsible for any damage (unless caused by carelessness on our part).
Stone is a product of nature. As such, it may contain fissures, inconsistencies and variation in color and pattern within a given slab and from slab to slab. We have no control over the existence of these irregularities and consequently assume no liability for any fissures or inconsistencies and variations in color and pattern found in the finished product originating from the raw material. All thickness descriptions are nominal and can vary as much as +/- 1/8”.
Unless otherwise noted, all work quoted includes only stone templating, fabrication and installation: exclusive of plumbing, electrical and woodwork. Additional work will be provided at a current labor rate of $45/man hour.
Seams will be placed at the discretion of the fabricator in order to achieve the most yields from each slab, also determined by kitchen layouts, patterns or movements within the granite slab. Specific seam locations requested by the customer may incur additional charges. Sink overhangs and profiles will be at our standard measurements.
We will be as careful and as professional as possible in installing your job. However, occasionally minor damage may occur to drywall, adjoining surfaces, and/or floors to ensure a safely installed piece. We will not be held responsible for any damage and minor touch-ups may be required by the homeowner.
